Setting up
Four ways in, and which of them make the check compulsory.
Confiri needs to know an interview is happening, and the candidate needs a link that goes through Confiri rather than straight to the call. Those are two separate things, and only some setups do both.
Choosing a route

Connect a calendar first
It is the only route that is genuinely set up once and then forgotten: no template to maintain, no address to remember, and it covers interviews however they were scheduled. Everything else on this page exists for the cases it cannot reach. Settings, then Calendar.
What happens after you connect one
Nobody touches anything again. Confiri checks each connected calendar for new interviews and, for every one it finds:
- Creates the verification session, using the candidate on the invite.
- Replaces the meeting link in the event with the Confiri check, in both the location and the description.
- Removes the candidate from the original event, so the calendar sends them a cancellation and the old link stops being an option.
- Emails them a Confiri invite with its own calendar entry, at the same time, in the same place.
- Points your own calendar entry at the report, so you admit or hold from one click when they arrive.
Rewriting invites is a setting
Until Auto-invite candidates from my calendar is on, a connected calendar creates sessions for your review but leaves the invite alone, which means the candidate still holds the original link. Turn it on in Settings, under Calendar.
What a calendar connection will not catch
We only act on events the connected person organises, because rewriting someone else's meeting is not ours to do. So an interview booked by a coordinator is covered when that coordinator connects their own calendar, not when the interviewer does. Sessions you create by hand are not on anyone's calendar at all, which is what the room link is for.
