Questions we get asked
Candidate experience, data, and what happens when something fails.
How long does a candidate spend on this?
About two minutes, and your Overview page shows the real median for your own account rather than our claim. If it ever costs you candidates, that page shows where they dropped.
What happens if a candidate fails?
Nothing automatic. The session is held and the interviewer sees a report saying what was found. They decide whether to admit, ask the candidate to try again, or stop. Confiri never rejects anyone.
What if the candidate cannot complete the check?
They wait in a room that polls for your decision, and after three minutes they are offered a way out and your recruiter's contact address. Nobody is left staring at a spinner before an interview.
Do you keep the video or the face?
No. The liveness frame is compared in memory and discarded. What is stored is a risk score, a count of faces, and a similarity number. There is no image and no recording, which is what the process-and-discard commitment on the trust page means.
Does the candidate know?
Yes. Before anything is collected they see a plain-language notice describing the camera check, the comparison to their LinkedIn photo, and the connection and device checks, and they consent to it explicitly.
Can a candidate skip it?
It depends on your setup, and your dashboard tells you which one you are in. If the invite points at Confiri they cannot. If Confiri was only copied on the invite, they still hold the real meeting link and could join without verifying.
